Nobody has published the answer for EMfemme 360, and we would rather tell you that than invent a number. The one published study measured its result two months after the third session, when pain on intercourse was absent in 29 of 35 women and the vaginal health score had more than doubled. Its authors say two months is too short to show how long that holds. The manufacturer gives no maintenance schedule. The nearest evidence is from other makers' radiofrequency devices, where a 2024 trial of 76 women found laxity better than a sham (dummy) treatment at four, six and twelve months, though the vaginal health score was no longer better than sham at twelve months. At EMfemme 360 London, 8 Devonshire Place, we review you at six months and plan the next step together.
What is known and what is not
- Known: the change is there two months after the course in the published study: pain on intercourse gone in 83%, vaginal pH down from 6.6 to 4.6, pain on examination from 6.6 to 1.4 out of 10.
- Known from other devices: radiofrequency laxity results held to twelve months against sham in one trial of 76 women.
- Not known: how long an EMfemme 360 result lasts, whether a top-up is needed and when. No EMfemme 360 follow-up beyond two months exists.
Why it would fade
The tissue change the manufacturer describes, new collagen from the warmth, is a response to a stimulus, and the cause keeps working: after the menopause the fall in oestrogen keeps thinning the tissue. NICE puts vaginal oestrogen first for menopause symptoms, and a 2026 review puts pelvic floor training first for laxity; EMfemme 360 is added to those, not instead of them, and in our clinical judgment a result holds longest when the underlying care continues.
What we do at six months
The doctor scores the same things as at the start, pain, dryness, the look and feel of the tissue, and what you report, and compares. If the result holds, nothing is booked. If it has slipped, the doctor plans the next step with you. The sessions page sets out the course.
